What To Look For In A Drop Shipper

You might be finding drop shippers left and right, but how do know if that drop shipper is worth dealing with? I strongly suggest that you find a drop shipper that is a manufacturer/drop shipper. What does this mean? You want a manufacturer that drop ships their own products. The reason why you want a manufacturer/drop shipper is so you don’t have to deal so much with out of stock issues. Manufacturer/drop shippers usually have the capability to build the product if it goes out of stock. Which means in most cases, it really never goes out of stock unless they discontinue the product.
If you can’t find a manufacturer/drop shipper find a drop shipper that does a good job of keeping stock. If they inform their customers when stock is getting low, that is always a plus.

You also want a drop shipper that requires a tax id number, resale license number, or something of that effect. If your drop shipper is open for business to Joe Shmoe, I gurantee the market is flooded and that product has no value. It’s all about supply and demand. Most Ebay drop shippers do not fit this critirea. Stay far away from them.

Thirdly, you want a drop shipper who controls the sale prices of their product. I appreciate drop shippers who make all their customers have a MAP pricing or “minimum advertised price”. This means that there is a level playing field. No one can advertise the product below the MAP price. This gives your product value and helps you to have a nice profit margin on your product.
