Ebay is Moving It’s Affiliate Program In-House. Good Move or Bad Move?

For those of you who are already Ebay Affiliates you know that Ebay is moving their affiliate program in-house. Ebay has been using Commission Junction and Value Click to manage their affiliate programs. For me using BANS + Ebay + Commission Junction has been the easiest affiliate program set up that I’ve been involved with. I’ve never made money so quickly with such little effort. I’m slightly nervous about Ebay’s idea to go in house with their program not because Ebay will be handling their own program, but because I’ve been using BANS to make the dough. The guys at BANS have said they will upgrade their software to work with the new Ebay Affiliate program.  I’m sure they will, I just hope it is a smooth transition.

April 1st, 2008 will be the date that Ebay will open up it’s new Affiliate program. To help Ebay Affiliates to migrate into their new system, Ebay is offering a 5% bonus through the month of April.  So what do you think about Ebay’s move?  Is it a good idea or bad idea?

I am nervous too. I have created my first eBay shop on laptops using BANS and not yet making any revenue… Well, let see what happen next on 1st April.
