Webpuffs Gets A Make Over

Sunday, March 2nd, 2008

If you’ve visitted my site before, you might notice the drastic change in looks.  I got tired of my old design so I whipped this theme together.  I made the design in Gimp and then took the default WP theme to create what you see.  I was going to code it from scratch, but it was taking too long.  I went web 2.0 with the logo.  I’ve been wanting to do something 2.0 since I learned how to make that reflection look in Gimp.  I still have some changes to make on it, but what do you think so far?

For those of you who were following my blog months back noticed that I stopped posting for quite a long time.  Being super busy on top of feeling like I had nothing left to say really shut me down.  From this point forward I will be blogging about much broader subjects such as Wordpress and Gimp on top of anything and everything to do with starting an internet business.  Enjoy!

  • Users can see all the themes created by one author

Come submit your themes.  All coded, family friendly themes will be accepted.

Friday’s This & Thats

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

It has been a while since I’ve posted. The last couple of weeks I’ve been getting home late nearly every night. Here are a few snippets of random happenings in my life and with Webpuffs.

My Son

My son, Noah, started walking a couple of weeks ago. He is 16 months old. He’s hilarous to watch. A few of his favorites things to do are terrorize the cat, take tours in our basement (For some reason, he likes me to take him to the basement and show him around.), play with the vacuum, and go to grandma and grandpa’s house.

Noah is starting to say all sorts of stuff. On my days off, my wife usually sleeps in. She is usually in such a deep sleep that she doesn’t hear anything. Noah is an early riser so eventually he starts yelling dada because he knows mama isn’t going toget him out of the crib.

Webpuffs

I find this strange, but ever since I installed My Blog Log, my Adsense has gone way down hill.  I don’t know if this is a coincidence or not.  Has anyone else experienced the same problem?  It’s a bummer if My Blog Log has something to do with the loss of Adsense income since it is a really nice community building tool.

The Webpuffs Network

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007

I started another new site.  This site is kind of a sister site of Webpuffs.com.  It’s actually called Webpuffs.net.  I decided it would be better to release WordPress themes from that site instead of on this one since this site is so crowded with other stuff.  I’ll keep you updated every time I create a new theme.  (I just created one this last weekend, so check it out when you get a chance.)

Right now, Webpuffs.net has the default theme.  I haven’t decided where to go with the look of that site.  I’m not for sure if I even like the design for this site.  It is too default looking.  Who knows, maybe I’ll redesign this one and the two will look exactly the same or very similar.  Please share your opinion.  What do you think about my current Webpuffs design?

It’s All Mine!

Wednesday, January 10th, 2007

Well, Webpuffs is officially all mine again.  Those of you who have been around for a while know that I gave my blog to my brother in law a while back.  I made an agreement with him.  I wanted Webpuffs back since Jeff didn’t have the time to post, but I didn’t want to give him the site and then just take it back from him, so we were sharing Adsense up until just a couple days ago.  This way I kind of bought it back from him.  The domain is now officially mine again, so it’s all mine!  I just made $3.48 today from Adsense.  I’m looking forward to seeing this site grow and gain a consistant reader base in 2007.  A big thanks to all my readers I currently have.
