The more that I play this internet game the more I see affiliate marketing is the way to go. With affiliate marketing, you don’t have to deal with customers. You don’t have to make quotes, email receipts, or answer phones. The thing about having an ecommerce type site is you really become slave to your customer. I’m very service oriented so if a customer calls in and needs a quote, I hop to it right away. If your business is open from 9 to 5, then you have to be ready and willing to serve your customers from 9 to 5. You can’t just tell a customer, “Can I call you back in about two hours? My friends and I are trying to finish a round of golf at the moment.” (more…)

CS Cart Review

In my last post I gave a review of the open source Magento cart. CS Cart is a paid cart. It costs $200. In my opinion, it worth a lot more than $200. I have an ecommerce site that has been in bad need of an upgrade. One of my greatest fears, was if I upgraded to a different cart, my urls would change and then I would lose traffic. Don’t You Hate It When You Can’t Sleep?

I was sleeping just fine tonight until my son woke up crying. He’s two years old. He woke up because he was cold. I went in his room and put a sweat shirt on him and then covered him back up. I tried to go back to sleep, then my mind started working like it does. I lose so much sleep just because my mind won’t shut off! Does anyone else have this problem? What do you do to go sleep? I’ve found that if I listen to my ipod that it usually puts me to sleep, but sometimes that doesn’t even help.

Ebay is Moving It’s Affiliate Program In-House. Good Move or Bad Move?

For those of you who are already Ebay Affiliates you know that Ebay is moving their affiliate program in-house. Ebay has been using Commission Junction and Value Click to manage their affiliate programs. For me using BANS + Ebay + Commission Junction has been the easiest affiliate program set up that I’ve been involved with. I’ve never made money so quickly with such little effort. (more…)
